Takoma Park Middle School Mentoring Program

"The programs create and foster an atmosphere where self-awareness is perpetual, where learning is pupil directed, and where concepts/ topics are relevant and applicable to the lifestyle of today's adolescent. The programs also cultivate youth to become more productive citizens, while building leadership abilities, improving academic skills and supporting a climate that is favorable to teaching and learning." - Takoma Park, VP Kareem Bond

Last year, CUA Law students worked with two Takoma Park Middle School afternoon programs, Boys II Men and Girls II Women, to understand and prepare for a mock trial.  The students then carried out the mock trial at the law school before Judge/Professor Margaret Martin Barry, from Columbus Community Legal Services.
